Carsonite^® Utility Marker

For high visibility and easy identification of underground utility lines, the Carsonite Utility Marker is the perfect choice. Its computer designed three-rail profile provides flexibility and structural integrity as well as protection for the decal.

The Utility Marker is installed easily in less than 60 seconds and is lightweight to allow for ease of transportation in the field.

The marker will flex when impacted and return to its original position. It is highly resistant to vandals because it's virtually impossible to remove without proper equipment. In addition, the Utility Marker will survive multiple gunshots without significant loss of legibility or damage to the post.

 Markers are pigmented throughout-the permanent colors, combined with factory applied decals, will provide the most visible identification of buried utility lines, day or night. Carsonite Utility Markers are available in a wide range of A.P.WA. specified colors. Custom or standard decals are factory applied for any utility marking applications you may require. Curv-Flex^® Utility Marker

Our most flexible marker available, the Carsonite Curv-Flex is the ideal choice for utility marking when impacts from vehicles and equipment are likely. The concave design will protect the decal from damage during vehicle contact. The Curv-Flex has been widely used for marking culverts, utility lines, fire hydrants, and electrical station outlets. Two flat surfaces are provided for any decal application needed. Because of the high flexibility, the Curv-Flex occasionally requires a small pilot hole in certain soil conditions before installation. All Carsonite composite utility markers are covered by a Fifteen Year Warranty.

Dual-Sided Utility Marker

Perfect for dual-sided identification of direct buried utility services, the Dual-Sided Utility Marker has a cross sectional profile with a flat central web to which a recessed warning message may be applied. The raised reinforced ribs along each side will prevent scratching or removal of legend upon impact.

The composite construction is resistant to vandalism, impact, ultraviolet light, and extreme temperature changes. The pointed tip allows for easy installation. All Carsonite composite utility markers are covered by a Fifteen Year Warranty.

Utility I.D. Post

The Carsonite Utility I.D. Post can help identify hard-to-see utility fixtures such as pedestals, enclosures, fire hydrants, right-of-ways, surveys, and manholes. The combination of a colored post and a warning decal make the message extremely visible in areas of overgrown vegetation or if buried in the snow. The I.D. Post is a reinforced composite marker with a stiffening rib on the back, making it less flexible than our other markers. Because of its design, installation is easy. The marker is virtually unaffected by the elements and requires little maintenance. This all purpose, low cost marker will help reduce maintenance and replacement costs associated with pedestals and enclosures. A special Utility I.D. Post introductory kit is available. Sign Support

The composite Sign Support is designed as a mounting post for Carsonite composite signs. The sign support system is capable of withstanding several low speed vehicle impacts. By utilizing Carsonite flexible signs, both the post and sign will return to the original upright position with minimal damage after impact. The Sign Support composite construction resists vandalism, severe temperature changes, and UV degradation. The sign and post are pre-drilled at the factory for easy assembly and installation. Vandal resistant hardware is included with the system. All Carsonite composite utility markers are covered by a Fifteen Year Warranty.

Visi-Post

A highly visible marker, the Carsonite Visi-Post is designed for applications where 360^o visibility is required. The Visi-Post is ideal for marking underground facilities and right-of-way locations. Manufactured from a tough thermoplastic elastomer, the Visi-Post will retain approximately 80% of its mechanical properties after 5 years of outdoor exposure. The Visi-Post is supplied with a factory applied metal anchor barb to prevent rotation and marker removal, thus reducing maintenance costs and vandalism. In extremely loose or sandy soil conditions, an optional plastic thru-pipe anchor is available. A special feature of the Visi-Post is its ability to be recycled after its service life has been exhausted. The Visi-Post can also be adapted for use as a test station unit.

Perma-Post^®

The Perma-Post is a highly visible 4-sided composite marker that can be used to identify fiber optic lines, high priority pipelines, and other underground facilities. The recessed area on each side provides extra protection for decals making the post visible from any direction. Fully impregnated color and resistance to rust, rot, and corrosion are just a few benefits this product offers over wood or metal. The Perma-Post can also survive controlled ditch burns. Effective in a variety of climates, the composite material is stable from -40^oF to +140^oF. The Perma-Post can also be adapted for use as a cathodic protection test station or bonding and grounding pedestal marker. This non-flexible marker can also serve as a mounting post for Aerial Markers or Composite Signs. A special Perma-Post introductory kit is available.

Survivor^®

Manufactured from an ultra-high impact copolymer with integral ultraviolet inhibitors, the Survivor is the most durable, impact resistant marker available from Carsonite. It is specially designed for areas where high impact is a concern.

Unlike conventional plastic posts, the polymer alloy found in the Survivor retains 80% of its mechanical properties after 5 years of outdoor exposure. Installation is quick and easy because no pilot holes are required. Simply insert a power or manual driver into the U-channel steel anchor and drive the post into the ground. The top of the anchor should be driven at least 1" below ground level.

The Survivor contains 15% post-consumer recycled thermoplastic. The percentage of recycled material, by weight, could increase to 75% if you utilize your own scrap steel as an anchor.

Pedestal Marker

The Carsonite Pedestal Marker makes telephone and CATV pedestals more visible and helps prevent damage caused by mowing / plowing equipment and utility vehicles. The marker also aids in locating pedestals in areas of deep snow or overgrown vegetation. Their bright color, along with reflective sheeting or decals, provides even higher visibility for crews and equipment or in low light situations. Carsonite Pedestal Markers are flexible and durable in harsh weather conditions.

The Pedestal Marker can be driven directly into the ground behind the Pedestal or mounted to the side using the unique bracket assembly. The bracket assembly allows for quick and easy attachment to the pedestal without drilling, thus eliminating potential damage to pedestal contents.

Panel Marker

For clear identification of pipeline routes in flat or open terrain, rural and agricultural areas, the Carsonite High Visibility Panel Marker is the ideal choice. The composite panel construction provides optimum strength and durability while offering a lightweight alternative to metal or wood. Alternating color schemes and an elevated position ensure optimal visibility. Optional identification decals can also be added to put the public in contact with your company before costly service interruptions occur.

The Panel Marker is reinforced with a 1" angled aluminum frame for added integrity. Rubber grommets help absorb shock and provide a secure fastening system. The marker is easy to handle and install, mounting securely to an existing pole or post with just two fasteners 3/8" diameter. 2" diameter composite mounting poles are available.
