AGRA
Antimony Electrode

Purpose

An antimony electrode and a copper sulfate electrode in contact with soil or water form a cell, the voltage of which depends on the pH (acidity or alkalinity) of the soil or water. Range is approximately 1 to 11.

Construction

The unit is eight inches long and contains an antimony slug 5/8" in diameter. There are no liquids. The terminal is a 5-way binding post. A scale for the conversion of voltage to pH is engraved on the side.
