| Product Overview
The Raparound anode system has been
designed with harsh environments in mind. From the ultra-heavy duty support
frame to the impact absorbing composite dielectric shield and the double
steel wire armored supply cable, this anode is designed to take abuse and
continue working.
The design allows back-to-back installation
to provide up to a 100 Ampere capacity anode for pile diameters between 12”
and 48”. Pictured unit is single sided.
The triple coated MMO activated titanium
anode rod provides superior resistance to abrasion, and the modular Delrin
anode housing design affords excellent protection and long-term chlorine
resistance to the oversized anode rod.
Originally designed for the Cook Inlet,
Alaska, the Raparound has proven itself in extensive time trials, surviving
in the rapid ice-laden currents and punishing winter freezes where no other
anode system has come close. Deepwater is confident that the Raparound will
survive any harsh environment where other anodes have not.
Applications
- Any steel-piled marine structure.
- Small offshore jacket structures
Main Benefits
- Pile mounted anodes have historically
suffered electromechanical problems. On the Raparound, all these
deficiencies have been engineered out.
- Hinged one-piece diver-friendly design
means that installation is safe and easy.
- The two-layer dielectric shield (elastomeric
outer shield with thermo-plastic inner shield) provides impact
resistance against ice or other floating debris.
- The center-connected anode rod provides
excellent long term reliability (it is the same technology as used on
the RetroBuoy™ high capacity ICCP systems).
