Features
Model 715 by Nilsson Electrical Laboratory
Inc. is an all
solid state, conductive-type pipe and cable locator. It is great for
solving cathodic
protection problems as well as determining exact location and depth of pipes and
cables. A signal is applied to pipe or cable and can be accurately followed
over
long distances. The transmitter tone is designed with variable frequency and interrupter
rate, and can be adjusted for distinctive signal under any conditions. It has three output
impedance taps for efficient matching to all soil conditions. The Transmitter and
Receiver are interlocked, preventing storage with batteries turned on.
Power can be provided by a 12 Volt lantern battery
or by a external 12 Volt
source. A battery warning light indicates when the
battery needs to be replaced. Model 715 can also be powered by an
external rechargeable 12 Volt Battery, Nilsson Model 110 (described below).
The transmitter and receiver assembly are housed in a
rugged, lightweight, weatherproof aluminum case measuring 7" x 7" x 11".
This case provide ample storage room for accessories. Approximate weight is 9 lbs.

Nilsson
Model 110
Rechargeable 12 Volt Battery Pack

-
Much more economical than replacing lantern
batteries
-
Recharges
Overnight - Cannot be Overcharged
The battery can be recharged overnight by plugging
into any 110 Volt AC outlet. It can also be
recharged from a running 12 Volt vehicle system by
using an automobile recharging cable. The
self-contained, solid-state recharging circuit is so
designed that the battery can be recharged hundreds
of times and cannot be overcharged. A 110 Volt AC
charging adapter is included.
-
Specially
Designed for Model 715 Pipe and Cable Locator and
Models 825 and 830 Current Interrupters
Nilsson Electrical Laboratory, Inc. has developed
the Model 110, 12 volt rechargeable battery pack for
use with the Nilsson Model 825 and 830 Current
Interrupters. The Model 110 can also be used with
any equipment requiring a 12 Vold DC power source.
-
Fits in same
Battery Clamp
The battery will clamp directly in either the Model
715 Pipe and Cable Locator or the Models 825 and 830
Current Interrupters in the same space as the 12
Volt lantern battery normally supplied.
-
Gelled
Electrolyte Provides Higher Current Capacity
Using the latest developments in rechargeable
batteries, the Model 110 employs a gelled
electrolyte in a sealed battery, providing much
higher current capacity than other rechargeable
batteries. The Model 110 can be used over a wide
operating temperature range under rugged field
conditions.
