Corrosion protection of hard-to-treat objects with a complex shape such as flanges, valves and manhole covers can be a difficult and time-consuming matter.

Some anti-corrosion materials do not offer an optimum protection. Others may cure or become brittle after a while, so that they cannot be removed or only be removed with great difficulty.

The development of STOPAQ has put an end to these problems.

Description

STOPAQ is a worldwide patented anti-corrosion material for optimum corrosion protection and improvement of the entire cathodic protection system. During the development of STOPAQ FN 4200, the application conditions were taken into account and special attention was paid to a good, efficient and simple application. Moreover special and extra attention was paid to safety and environmental aspects during and after application. The result is high class anti-corrosion product that is considered to be the best anti-corrosion material at this time. (Report of Polymer Center, University Groningen).

General characteristics

STOPAQ consists of a mixture of a-polar semi-viscose polymer hydrocarbons with a vitrification temperature lower than -10°C. Mechanical strength has been separated from the main functions: sealing and corrosion protection.

STOPAQ is available as a wrapping band and as a paste. It adheres to all materials such as PE and steel, and penetrates the smallest pores after application. It is water vapor and oxygen impermeable. It does not cure nor does it weaken due to stress as a consequence of temperature differences and physical forces. Once applied, STOPAQ gives maintenance-free corrosion protection for many years. STOPAQ is non-toxic, environmental friendly and is easy to remove at a later date. It can even be re-used.

STOPAQ has been tested by KIWA, TNO and the Polymer Centre of the University of Groningen. It has been internationally certified according to KIWA BRL K911/01 and guarantees optimum maintenance-free corrosion protection for a minimum of 35 years (Report, Polymer Service Center, University Groningen).

Application

STOPAQ can successfully be applied for the protection of objects such as tanks, manhole covers, flanges, T-pieces, reducing armatures, ball bearings and pipelines. STOPAQ is especially suited for the protection of hard-to-treat objects with a complex shape, as it enters into the smallest spaces.

STOPAQ FN 4200
Paste for above ground protection

STOPAQ FN 4200 is an anti-corrosive paste that can be applied for the protection of above ground and/or high-temperature flanges. STOPAQ FN 4200 has a very high temperature resistance and range from -60°C up to 130°C and provides for leak detection at the same time. MSDS.

STOPAQ CZ Wrappingband is used for the wrapping and protection of tubes and bends in under and above ground situations. STOPAQ CZ Wrappingband only needs an overlap of 10%, which implies a considerable reduction in material use. STOPAQ CZ Wrappingband can be applied on the pipe by hand without force and does not need any tightening or use of a wrap-around tool. The application is therefore easier and quicker.

Easy Application
