Powercrete is the result of many years of
combined research by several major corporations in pipeline protection.
Powercrete-J is a derivative of Powercrete,
using the same resins with an alternate hardener. The resultant product makes an
outstanding protective coating of bare steel and is also suggested for use on girth welds
on pipelines coated with fusion bonded epoxy.
The finished girth weld coating is very hard, abrasive
resistant and provides an excellent cathodic disbondment rating on pipelines operating at
less than 130oF (55oC).
Powercrete-J can be applied at
temperatures of 60oF (15oC) and above and will cure in less than 4
hours at 90oF (32oC).
