Poly-Ply is a multi-layer version of plastic wrap. It helps keep a separation between the tape and the soil.

Description

Trenton Poly-Ply Plastic Wrapper is designed as a wrapper over cold-applied Trenton Temcoat Coating on straight pipe and irregular metal surfaces, such as T's and Couplings. It consists of three membranes of 0.5-mil clear, 50-gauge, clear, polyvinylidene chloride plastic, high-cling membranes, wound together as a single sheet.

Trenton Poly-Ply Plastic Wrapper provides a mechanical and electrical barrier over Trenton Temcoat or Trenton #1 Wax-Tape while remaining flexible enough to conform to irregular shaped surfaces. It is inert and will not deteriorate, and is resistant to chemicals and bacteria commonly found in soil.

Application Procedure

Pre-apply Trenton Temcoat coating and wrap form Poly-Ply wrapper over the coated surface. An additional second coating of Temcoat can then be applied over the Poly-Ply for greater protection.
