Application
- V-Line Insulating Couplings
are an excellent and economical means of providing cathodic protection from electrolysis.
- V-Line Insulating Couplings
stop galvanic corrosion on all water piping where dissimilar metals are joined together.
- For use in water piping with Hydrostatic Pressure up
to 300 PSI and up to 225oF. Not recommended for steam installations.
- Eight Sizes:
1/2",
3/4", 1", l-1/4", l-1/2", 2", 2-1/2", 3".
Specification
- Lochinvar "V"-Line Insulating Couplings
shall be furnished to provide dielectric protection from electrolytic corrosion at all
points where piping of dissimilar metals are joined (copper to steel, etc.).
- Couplings shall be designed for use in water piping
with Hydrostatic Pressure up to 300 PSI and up to 225oF.
- Couplings shall be lined with an inert,
non-conductive, linen impregnated material and threaded to NPS standards, with sufficient
separation between pipe ends to prevent "bridging."
